Kauai’s lone legislative contest will be between Sen. Gary Hooser, left, and JoAnn Georgi — and it will come in the general election.

On Kauai, James “Jimmy” Tokioka (D, Lihue-Koloa) and Roland Sagum III (D, Koloa-Niihau) are running unopposed for their second terms in the House, while Hermina “Mina” Morita (D, Hanalei-Kapaa) is also running unopposed for her sixth term.

Kauai’s lone Senate seat pits Democratic incumbent and Senate Majority Leader Gary Hooser against Republican JoAnn Georgi, a Kalaheo businesswoman who has previously mounted unsuccessful campaigns for the state Legislature.
